The SwanDor advantage

One team. One invoice. No middlemen.

Most roofing companies have to sub-contract the scaffolding. That means two invoices, two sets of scheduling, split liability if anything goes wrong, and usually a premium passed on to you.

SwanDor is different. We are both scaffolders and roofers. When you book a re-roof with us, one team handles everything: the scaffold goes up with our scaffolders, the roof is stripped and rebuilt by our roofers, and the scaffold comes down when they are done. One quote, one invoice, and one team you can hold accountable from start to finish.

We work on all property types across Dorset, from thatched and listed buildings in rural Dorset to modern houses in Poole and Bournemouth. Whatever your roof, we can replace it.

  • Clay plain tiles

  • Clay pantiles

Re-Roofing FAQs

How do I know if I need a full re-roof?

A full re-roof is usually needed when: the roof is over 50 years old with widespread tile failures; the battens and underlay have rotted; persistent leaks cannot be resolved by repairs; or a survey reveals overall condition is too poor to justify further repair costs.

How long does a re-roofing project take?

A standard domestic re-roof on a 3-bedroom semi-detached house typically takes 3–7 days. A temporary roof structure can be installed to protect the building during stripping.

Can I choose my tiles?

Yes. We offer a wide choice and will advise on materials appropriate for your property, planning situation, and budget. We source conservation-area and listed-building compliant materials where required.

Is scaffolding included?

Yes. All scaffold erection, hire, and dismantling is included in your re-roofing quote. One team, one point of contact, one invoice.
